The website, since January 2011, has been a collaboration between Volvo Penta and Mediaset. Ten video clips will be broadcasted weekly on the website www.navigareinformati.com. Here Dino Feltrinelli advises all boatsmen, in user friendly language , how to solve some minor engine troubles which may occur onboard.
The online transmissions cover issues from, a routine check, the replacement of the belt and cleaning diesel pipes. Thanks to Dino’s user friendly language and comprehensive explanations, the operations can be carried out single handed.
Dino, along with his two brothers, Mauro and Sergio Feltrinelli, are the owners of the family named boatyard. Infamous for high level standard nautical services, including, repairs, dry storage, technical guidance and sales, on the Lake Garda shoreline.
He has been the boatyard’s technical manager since the late ‘80s.
In the last twenty years he built the company up to a prominent level , high ranking in the Volvo Penta workshop standard. As a result of great passion, and substantial knowledge of technical aspects of nautical boating, the Feltrinelli boatyard currently is regarded as one of the most superior in terms of high quality, high-class engine servicing. Thus, resulting in reliable, fast and trouble-free boat repairs.
In 2005, a collaboration began with the Austrian Frauscher company, culminating in the Feltrinelli yard being sole importer and exclusive distributor in Italy. Dino Feltrinelli offered the Austrian boatyard his experience of mechanical engines. He took an active part in the design of boats which have impressed their customers in their up-dated technology, performance and superior design.
“Navigare Informati” is a TV broadcast that is dedicated to boatsmen. It is transmitted every year, from 1st June to 30th September, on the Mediaset Italian network: Channel 5, Italia 1 and Network 4.
Frauscher Boatyard.
An Austrian shipyard founded in 1927. It manufactures a wide range of boats, all built with the most advanced technology and extensive engine varieties; petrol, diesel, electric, hybrid, in addition to sail boats. The boatyard, Cantiere Nautico Feltrinelli celebrated its 90th San Carlo Gargnano, anniversary in 2009. It is still run by the Feltrinelli family. They have been linked to shipbuilding since the 1400’s. Cantiere Nautico Feltrinelli is the sole Italian importer and distributor of Frauscher boats. The company offers a full range of comprehensive servicing, including maintenance, engine service, repair, assistance, garaging and sales. As a consequence of a business friendship with Frauscher that has endured for 30 years, the new business age resulted in an exclusive business deal. The basis being the development of sales and marketing. A network of agents, service centres and sales agents have exploded.
